Viv Rivett

Originally from Australia, I moved to England in 1992 and really fell in love with the place!  After enjoying a busy and exciting 12 months in London, my husband and I relocated to the north of England and now live near Rochdale in Lancashire. 

I have worked in London, Leeds and Manchester, for solicitors and barristers, as a legal secretary, float secretary, temp secretary, freelance secretary, freelance IT trainer, IT Support and Axxia developer.  I have worked for very small firms and large corporate firms.

Following 15 years of working in Manchester as an employee, in May 2010 I decided to return to working freelance.  I enjoy the huge variety of opportunities it gives and meeting new people.  Being self-employed gives me the flexibility I need as well as the satisfaction of developing a successful business.  It is a very rewarding experience when you deliver a good service and people want you back.

I am doing a lot more Virtual PA work these days, working from home via email and remote connection.  It's a great way to work!  I am fully set up to do digital dictation transcription, so you can email me your dictation and I will type up a beautifully presented and accurate document for you.  I have a broad knowledge base, including medical terminology.  I also enjoy proof-reading and tidying up documents - I have excellent skills in Microsoft Word.
